Contains Spoilers: Keep Reading?

I actually bought this for a friend's nine year old daughter who is a massive Tudor fan, but after looking through it, decided that, oops, it was a bit too old for her! That said, I'm sure that in a few years she will really enjoy it. I kept it and read it myself and greatly enjoyed the story - I love the Tudor period of history, and Lucy Worsley writes well and entertainingly about it. Her characters are portrayed well, and although if you know ANYTHING about Henry VIII you know how it's going to end (Eliza Rose's cousin Catherine Howard is, of course, beheaded), it has some interesting twists in the plot. Excellent teenage book for the historically-minded! I've often watched and enjoyed Lucy Worsley's historical documentaries, so I really enjoyed the chance to read this book by her.
