Franki and the Banksia is a wholesome story about a curious boy and his Poppy aka "Poppy John" who talk about the many uses of the wonderful native Banksia!
There is cultural aspect that flow through the book when Poppy John speaks about how our First Nations people used the nectar and cones of the Banksia!
My little one particularly likes reading the pictures in this book, as a natural little nurturer his favourite page is when Franki left some apple out for the birds to eat, which is shown through the lovely illustrations. His natural tendency was to fetch his own felt apple toy and pretend to feed the birds also!
