Uncovering spirit, unexpected strigoi attacks, and the untimely death of friends. This book has a lot of emotion and hard times in it.

Rose is battling her emotions and feeling with Dimitri, Lissa is trying to learn about spirit and get help from the much talked about Adrian Ivashkov.

It carries the story well from Vampire Academy, you get to see a lot more action from the novices in regards to their training and slipping off to hunt a group of strigoi that seem to be targeting royal families.

Loved this book, Shadow Kissed is next up on my list.

Definitely my favourite Vampire Academy novel! By far one of the best vampire series' on the market at the moment.

In the second novel of the Vampire Academy series, you are pulled back into the world of Rose and Lissa, Dhampir and Moroi best friends.

In this book after a spout of vicious Strigoi attacks, their school books out a lush ski resort for all students to attend Winter break. Here, you are introduced to more lovable characters, including, Adrian Ivashkov.

Rose has alot to figure out during their times on the slopes, from her loyalty to her heart and keeping secrets.

This is just yet another piece of Richelle Mead brilliance on paper which will keep you captivated and reaching for book number three as soon as you complete the final sentence in Frostbite.

She got the guy finally! I just love this series. Just when I think it's so predictable what's going to happen next Rose kicks ass, gets in trouble and gets saved and she gets the guy I actually cried. This series has taken no1 shelf spot in my house now...sorry twilight

By far my favourite Vampire Academy book in the series. It introduces new characters, has some ski slope action, the beautiful Dimitri and a life changing event for Rose. A must read!

I finished reading frost bite and hands down this is the best book I have ever read and I read a lot! I love Mason why did he have to die! :'( But i still loved the book even though my favourite character is dead. Vampire Academy is the greatest series I've read can't wait to finish this series and read the spin-off: Bloodlines! :)

This book started the darkness of the series. After his *SPOILERS* death, the rest were just dark, he sort of started something that leads from some tragic thing to another. Although dark, he also brought good things out of his death. Sad it may be, he gave VA more of its twists and turns and ups and downs through out the whole series and Mason will still be with us forever even if his ghost is the only thing that exists. This is probably the greatest sequel I have ever read. I got to read more of the characters I loved while new characters came in that Richelle (of course!) made me love also. The final chapters of this book along with Shadow Kiss made me cry but were so powerful and I loved how Richelle made each character grow or learn in this book, and from the events that took place in frostbite.

Ok, Vampire Academy is the most amazing series!!

I literally started crying when Mason died...too sad!

And Rose and Dimitri's romance is amazing!! I have read the whole series and now I'm reading Bloodlines which is crazy because *SPOILER* Adrian and Jill are spirit bound!!!

It is the smallest book in the series but holds so much action, comedy and romance! The storyline in this book is great, as always would like to see a bit more happening between Rose and Dimitri but as far as the plot goes it's great. I reckon this is one of my favourite from the series and I liked watching the characters grow and mature and literally could not put the book down til I found out what happened next.

This book is my favourite in the whole series - it is very exciting and had me on the edge of my seat literally the whole time. A great balance of romance, action and comedy that just makes the Vampire Academy books. great plot, awesome characters - just overall an awesome book. love it.

This book was amazing. This book came with so many choices and decisions for rose to make some of them being difficult but knowing she had to do it. With every page of this book came new twists that it made this book unbelievably hard to put down! It was everything a reader could want, it's details in every page was unbelievable, when reading it my imagation could imagine everything the way Richelle mead would have wanted. Overall I would recommend everyone read the series because if is a very well written book and has a very good plot idea. This series was so unbelievably good I finshed them in 6 days because I knew I couldn't sleep until I finshed the book.

To be honest i love all the Vampire Academy novels but frostbite is one of my most favourite! The tense drama and the twisted romances created by Richelle Mead make this novel almost impossible to put down. A sensational series.

This is an amazing series, full of twists and turns. The writing is exceptional and I can't wait to read onward to see what happens next in this phenomenal series :)

this book is such a great book. Same with the series . Out of the series this book is quite short but still packs a punch & will keep you guessing until the end ! If you are ok with vampires and liked The Hunger Games or Divergent you will like this!!
