  • Inspiring Reading!

    by on

Every night before bed I read 3 stories to my 4 year daughter old so she can see that anything truly is possible when you don’t let fear, limitations and circumstances dictate who you are in life!

  • Great book for little girls - and little boys

    by on

I bought the first book for my granddaughter aged 7 to show her that girls can do awesome stuff and don't have to conform to society's norms in order to be great people. This second book also has stories of women who did not follow the 'normal' course in life and made really meaningful and worthwhile contributions to the world.

It’s been hard to escape the sheer impact of Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls over the past year. An overnight bestseller, it’s the book that launched a thousand copycats of other women-centric history books for children. This is a wonderful thing, of course, but there’s a reason Goodnight Stories was the bestseller. I’m now happy to report that Elena Favilli and Francesca Cavallo have beautifully worked the same magic they infused the first book with into its sequel.

In Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls 2, you’ll see a whole new set of incredible women poised to inspire the women of tomorrow, rendered in enchanting illustrations. From Mary Shelley and Frida Kahlo to Beyonce and J.K. Rowling, this book is a gorgeous and diverse celebration of the incredible women of the past that will ignite the imaginations of young girls everywhere. If I could go back in time and give my young self one book, it would be this one - don’t miss it!
