This is the first book to be published on the leading London architecture firm Gumuchdjian Architects whose widely published first project the Think Tank established their reputation for sensitive, contextual work. Its covers the first ten years of production since the studio was founded and includes an unusually wide range of project types and collaborations with architects and artists. They won the international competition for the new Pompidou Centre in Metz with Shigeru Ban and gained planning approval for a residential tower beside the Tate Modern. Jonathan Glancey

Jonathan Glancey is well known as the former architecture and design correspondent of the Guardian and Independent newspapers.

He is also a steam locomotive enthusiast and pilot. A frequent broadcaster, his books include Harrier, Giants of Steam, the bestselling Spitfire: The Biography, Nagaland: A Journey to India's Forgotten Frontier, Tornado: 21st Century Steam, The Story of Architecture, The Train: An Illustrated History.

Philip Gumuchdjian

Philip Gumuchdjian set up his eponymous firm in 1998, and has since received a number of architectural industry awards, including the Stephen Lawrence Awards in both 2003 and 2010 and the RIBA International award in 2012 and National Awards. Gumuchdjian taught architecture and urban design at the UCL Bartlett school of architecture, chaired the RIBA Awards Group from 2016-2018, launched and was jury member for the first RIBA International Prize in 2016.
