Denise Turu moved to New York in 2000, where she worked in set design studios, painted murals, and worked as a freelance illustrator, while her art showed in galleries in Manhattan and Brooklyn.

She has also worked for Multimedia agencies in Paris, London, and Barcelona. She is the author and illustrator of a number of children books, and today she lives and work as an illustrator and fine artist in Barcelona, Spain.
