Children, their care, education and welfare, might seem to be central to the concerns and culture of the Christian churches. But when conversation turns to the rights of children, why should it be that Christian groups often raise objections? Taking the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child as their starting point, the authors go on to study human rights in general, theological concerns talking in terms of rights and to explore how children's rights and human destiny are linked.
