For the purposes of this book, we're going to assume that you're within the normal boundaries of blokehood. You know enough to shower daily, brush your teeth after meals, and pick the fattest, slowest moving lice from your body. If this description doesn't apply to you, no amount of reading is going to be of assistance...And so begins this must-have collection of fun, helpful and plainly questionable hints from the recently married man-about-town, John Birmingham, author of the cult classic He Died With A Felafel In His Hand.In his own irreverent and hilarious style, Birmingham takes today's 'Man' on an odyssey through the pleasures and pitfalls of modern life, including a rigorous look at fashion right down to shoes: what to wear which ones with, and why loafers with zippers are not OK. On the way Birmingham illuminates the dark recesses of blokehood in such sections as: 'Women; lifts and doors'. John also illustrates these with fascinating and educational vignettes like 'How to Behave In a Brothel'. It's practical too!
Contained within are guides to such bizarre and unexplored fields as: how to write a CV; surviving the interview process; and what to do if your boss is kidnapped by aliens. Becoming a real man won't happen overnight. Hell, it may never happen. But if you read the book, you're one step closer.
