These prayers and words have been written over a period of 8 years throughout the hardest and the most beautiful days of my life. As I was pondering whether or not to share these words of mine with the world, the Lord led me to Psalm 66, verse 16 which says: "Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will tell what he has done for my soul." Through abuse, pain, suffering, victory, and joy the Lord has been my healer, my closest friend, my Father, my help, my life, my breath, and my safest place. These prayers have been written from the depths of depression and the heights of joy. In all of it He was present and near. I've come to believe that there is nothing more valuable I could do with my time and my words than proclaim what He has done for my soul and declare boldly His unwavering goodness. He has healed my heart and saved my life. What a joy it is to tell of His goodness! As I share and linger on His kindness shown to me, I hope you will feel deeply in your bones that what He has done for me He has done for you as well. As you read what I have written, I pray that any words of Jessie Clark would fall deaf to your ears and that only the truth of who Jesus is and what he has done for you would linger.
