Who do we become when our untreated traumas speak on our behalf? How do we address the broken places in our lives if we never recognize their existence? Most people that knew me or knew of me hardly knew anything about me. Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, I grew up with my eyes wide open to the world, but my heart closed off to its humanity, not because I was taught this but primarily because of the effects of untreated trauma. I grew up knowing God but not experiencing Christ, there is a big difference. Throughout my life, I was known by many things--an athlete, a businessman, a gym rat, a player, an alcoholic, a womanizer, a violent offender. But no one saw that I was broken. They saw my circumstances but not my condition.

This book exposes and edifies what hides behind the veil of our broken pieces and what happens when those pieces go undetected. I Was Broken in All the Right Places encourages us to find purpose among the pieces.
