After several failed marriages, I have learned many poignant lessons. I have gained the strength to accept that things just didn't work out. I have accepted that some things were never meant to be, and I have embraced my flaws. You may need to recognize that certain things are just not meant to be, no matter how hard you try. Sometimes, you're so controlling that letting go feels like a failure. Sometimes you're the problem and it's perfectly fine to confess that. None of the men in my life were saved, and I knew it. Still, I married them because I was saved and wanted to live righteous in the eyes of God and the church people. I made a mess of things by marrying to please naysayers and not considering the consequences of my actions. I survived each poor decision by asking God to help me stick it out because I was committed to the marriage. On August 9, 2021, I let go and let God give my life a new beginning. With this new outlook on life, I look forward to enjoying every day like it is my last. I serve the people of God by feeding the homeless and beautifying His people from the inside out at the Beauty for Ashes Boutique. Always remember to fast and pray for every situation, good or bad. It's the only way. I share this as someone recovering from years of looking for love in all the wrong places who ultimately lost their identity.
