Maps of Malaya and Borneo showcases the extensive map collections of His Royal Highness Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, Sultan of Selangor, and Richard Curtis. The combined collections contain more than 150 maps ranging from what may now appear to be inaccurate medieval maps based on the workings of Ptolemy to maps given to troops during World War II. The collections include early Portuguese, Dutch and French maps, nautical charts, maps of the interior, maps from atlases and encyclopaedias, maps of the Malaysian states, maps showing economy and infrastructure and city maps.
