Luke Cage defends the streets of New York City and even takes the fight to the outer boroughs in this Marvel Masterworks volume completing his solo adventures. He ll face menaces as tough as Moses Magnum, as bizarre as the Mace and as infuriating as the Gem Theater's always unpredictable vending machine. It's all set against the gritty streets of 1970s Times Square, a location as colourful as anything any of Marvel's minds have ever conjured up. Cage will also face an all-new and amped-up Chemistro; the Spear, who seeks to settle a score with the man who made Luke Cage bulletproof; and an adversary as unstoppable as death itself: the IRS. Chris Claremont

Chris Claremont is one of the bestselling comic writers in the world. He wrote The Uncanny X-Men for seventeen years as well as the novelization of the movie X-Men 2. He has been the co-creator of several top-selling series for Marvel Comics, including Excalibur, Wolverine, New Mutants, and, in the United Kingdom, Captain Britain.

He wrote the Star Trek twenty-fifth-anniversary graphic novel Debt of Honor and a Next Generation sequel, Cry, Vengeance, for DC Comics, as well as Alien/Predator: The Deadliest of Species for Dark Horse. His debut novel was Firstflight, the story of a young female astronaut in the twenty-first century, to which he wrote two sequels, Grounded and Sundowner.

He collaborated with George Lucas on three novels in The Chronicles of the Shadow War, and has delved into fantasy with the publication of Dragon Moon, a dark fantasy novel co-authored with his wife, Beth Fleisher. The couple lives in Brooklyn with their two children. As the inspiration for the book Unintentional Humor T Brent Anderson is helping to teach the world about autism.

Sharing stories of his literal mind and the difficulties it often caused, make Brent an invaluable resource. He worked closely with the illustrators to ensure their cartoons accurately represent how he "saw" the expressions. Brent is providing stories for the second Unintentional Humor T book.

Marv Wolfman

One of the most prolific and influential writers in modern comics, Marv Wolfman began his career as an artist. Realizing that his talents lay more in writing the stories than in drawing them, Wolfman soon became known for his carefully crafted, character-driven tales.

In a career that has spanned nearly 30 years, Wolfman has helped shape the heroic careers of DC Comics' Green Lantern, Blackhawk and the original Teen Titans, as well as Marvel Comics' Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, and Nova.

In addition to co-creating The New Teen Titans and the universe-shattering Crisis On Infinite Earths with George Purez, Wolfman was instrumental in the revamp of Superman after Crisis, the development of The New Teen Titans spinoff series Vigilante, Deathstroke The Terminator and Team Titans, and created such characters as Blade for Marvel, along with Night Force and the retooled Dial "H" For Hero for DC.

In addition to his numerous comic-book credits, Wolfman has also written several novels and worked in series television and animation, including the Superman cartoon of the late 1980s and currently the hit Teen Titans show on Cartoon Network.
