Excerpt from Members of One Body: Six Sermons There is a loyalty to one's creed which is to be commended. The man who has a reason for his own Opinion, and who has the courage always to declare it, is not to be despised; and each church may well seek to cultivate such loyalty on the part of its members. But it has also a larger work than this. It must teach loyalty to the spirit which is behind all forms of thought and worship. That religious culture is im perfect which does not enable one to inter pret sympathetically his neighbor's creed and to see its spiritual significance. In the following sermons I attempted to per form this service for my own congregation; and they are now published with the h0pe that they may be of some help to others.
