She has written many stories for radio and television and contributed to several anthologies.

Kate Petty was the innovative author of over 200 books for children, including fiction, non-fiction and picture books. Her award-winning and bestselling pop-up books with Jennie Maizels and her collaborations with The Eden Project in Cornwall are among her most popular work. She died in 2007.
