I am very glad I bought this book. It’s Kumon, so it’s bright, colourful and builds in skill level very gradually through the book. The mazes Kumon books are great from practicing pencil grip and working on simple writing and problem-solving skills. This particular one has been surprisingly valuable, though, because the “around the world” pictures have sparked some very cool conversations with my toddler and led us into little research expeditions and library trips. It has inspired imagination with impromptu role plays and later, in other activities such as craft or LEGO time, these new themes emerge again and are incorporated into activities across the day. I don’t know of any other educational series that children absorb and adopt so readily. I love it!
