"Nudge" is about choices - how we make them and how we can make better ones.

Authors Richard H. Thaler and Cass R. Sunstein offer a new perspective on preventing the countless mistakes we make - including ill-advised personal investments, consumption of unhealthy foods, neglect of our natural resources, and other bad decisions.

Citing decades of cutting-edge behavioral science research, they demonstrate that sensible choice architecture can successfully nudge people towards the best decisions without restricting their freedom of choice.

Straightforward, informative, and entertaining, this is a must-read for anyone with interest in our individual and collective well-being.

Richard H. Thaler

Richard H. Thaler is an American economist and the Ralph and Dorothy Keller Distinguished Service Professor of Behavioral Science and Economics at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

He is perhaps best known as a theorist in behavioral finance, and for his collaboration with Daniel Kahneman and others in further defining that field.

In 2017, he was awarded the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences for his contributions to behavioral economics.

When discussing its selection of Thaler to receive the Nobel Prize, the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences reasoned that his "contributions have built a bridge between the economic and psychological analyses of individual decision-making. His empirical findings and theoretical insights have been instrumental in creating the new and rapidly expanding field of behavioral economics."

Cass R. Sunstein

Cass R. Sunstein is the Robert Walmsley University Professor at Harvard, where he is founder and director of the Program on Behavioral Economics and Public Policy. He is the most cited law professor in the United States and probably the world. Thaler), Simpler: The Future of Government, and Republic.com.
