The Our Australia stories focus on a young Greek-Australian boy, Taha, who goes on a road trip with his Mum, visiting Australian regional towns and cities. On the way he learns about the people, history and geography of each place he visits. A mischievous young boy with a big imagination, Taha brings his destinations to life and has a lot of fun and laughs on his travels. The second destination for Taha and his Mum is historic Broken Hill in western NSW, with its mining history and fascinating outback location. There is so much to see and do: old jails, camel rides, mines, School of the Air and the Flying Doctor service! Taha also finds he has a lot to learn about the discovery of Mungo Man, explorer Charles Sturt and to look out for kangaroos and emus along the way.
