Jeanne Willis was born in St Albans, Herts, in 1959. As a young girl she sought adventures though writing comic strips and books.

After completing a copywriting course at Watford Art College she went on to work in advertising. Today, Jeanne is an internationally renowned, full-time writer and has published over a hundred books ranging from picture books including The Bog Baby and Who's in the Loo?, to YA, poetry and fiction.

She has won several awards, including the Children's Book Award, the Silver Smarties Prize and has also been shortlisted for the Whitbread Award.

Pippa Goodhart's interest in children's books was originally sparked by a Saturday job at Heffers in Cambridge when she was at school. Since then, Pippa qualified as a teacher and returned to Heffers, where she eventually became Manager of the Children's Bookshop. She has been writing since 1993 and has written over 100 books! Her books have won or been shortlisted for numerous awards.

Teresa Heapy recently went from publishing books for Oxford University Press to writing books. She is the author of the Very Little series, including Very Little Red Riding Hood, which won Best Picture Book in the Oxfordshire Children’s Book Award and the Coventry Inspiration Book Awards.

She lives in Oxford, England, with her husband and three children.

The daughter of a typographer and a librarian, Agnese grew up surrounded by books and always loved them. She graduated in Graphic Design in Urbino, Italy, in 2004.

Since 2001, she started working as an Illustrator and Author of children books, collaborating with several publishers in different countries.

Agnese lives in the countryside close to Bologna, Italy, and works from a little wooden summerhouse in her garden, with the company of her 2 dogs Zorba and Orso.

Robin Etherington is a children's author who has created graphic novels, comics and puzzle books. He is the writer behind Long Gone Don and Monkey Nuts.

Simon Puttock was born in New Zealand.

He has written over 40 books for children including picture books and fiction and has won several awards, including the 2016 Scottish Children's Book Award for Mouse's First Night at Moonlight School.

Aleesah Darlison is a multi-published, award-winning Australian author. She has written nearly forty books for boys and girls of all ages. Her much-loved stories promote the concepts of sustainability, environmental awareness, courage, understanding, anti-bullying, love, self-belief, friendship and teamwork.

Aleesah’s book, Our Class Tiger, was joint winner of the 2015 Environment Award for Children’s Literature (Non-Fiction). Aleesah’s other series for children include the Unicorn Riders series and the Totally Twins series.

Thomas Docherty is an acclaimed author and illustrator of children's picture books including Little Boat, Big Scary Monster, and the Driftwood Ball. The Snatchabook, which was written by his wife Helen, has been shortlisted for several awards in the UK and US and been translated into 17 languages.
