Kate is working on a scam on behalf of a company that finance car purchases. Kate and her boyfriend purchase a new car as part of her investigation, but the car is stolen. When Rick is out he sees his recently stolen car parked outside a club so he uses his key to enter the car with the aim of driving it home, however he is pulled over by the police for driving a 'stolen car'. When the police inspect the car they find a large amount of illegal drugs and a pornographic photo. Kate realises the only way she will get him out of gaol is to solve the car stealing racket and the drug distribution racket. In the meantime his son is arriving for a few days and she needs to come up with a story as to where his father is and call on all her friends to keep the boy occupied while she investigates these crimes in an attempt to release her boyfriend from gaol.
