Shoo Rayner began his career as an illustrator in a garden shed near Machynlleth. He drew for Michael Morpurgo and Rose Impey, but editors kept encouraging him to write.

Many years, and over 200 books later, Shoo, well known for his many fast-paced series for newly confident readers, has been building a worldwide following for his award winning how-to-draw videos on YouTube.

Mike Brownlow is the creator of many books for children.

He wrote and illustrated the picture book Little Robots, which was turned into a major animated TV show for CBeebies and screened in over 70 countries worldwide. Other titles include Mickey Moonbeam, Dog Did It! and The Big White Book.

Mike lives in Somerset.

Damian Harvey lives in North Wales with his lovely wife, Vicky. He has three wonderful daughters, one brilliant boy and a cat called Polly.

He has written more than 60 books for children and is busy writing more. Although Damian loves sitting at home writing stories, he also loves visiting schools and libraries where he shares stories, talks about writing and generally gets people excited about books and reading.
