Catriona Hoy

Catriona Hoy was born in Scotland and emigrated with her family to Australia at the age of seven. Her family moved eight times before settling in Melbourne. She is now a science teacher and lives in Melbourne with her husband, two daughters and an overfed Labrador.

She writes part-time for educational and trade markets, and is the author of the picture book The Music Tree, illustrated by Adele Jaunn (Lothian, 2006).

Andrew Plant

Author and/or illustrator of five CBCA Notable Books, Andrew Plant is an internationally published creator of picture books for children from pre-school to secondary school. He loves stories that are unusual and challenging and look at theworld from a different angle. He is passionate in encouraging children to fall in love with books and reading. He also designs and paints theatre sets and murals, and so rarely has a brush out of his hands.
