Twenty-year-old screenplay writer, Emily Jane, awakens from surgery as a patient aboard a ship docked in a small port in Accrington. Her appearance has been altered, her lower half temporarily paralyzed, and her past erased without any recollection as to why. The only knowledge gifted to her is that she has chosen to do this to herself. While trying to repress her curiosity on the matter she attempts to navigate a new life from scratch alongside the help of her assigned mentor, Miles. Just as she's starting to grow used to her new reality Ren, a red-headed veterinarian student fresh out of university, comes into the picture and makes Emily question what little she thought she knew about herself and her past. He might even know why she made the decision to erase everything she's ever known and why she shouldn't go back.
