Professor Lord Meghnad Desai is a world-renowned commentator on globalisation and de-globalisation.

He is currently Chair of the Official Monetary and Financial Institutions Forum (OMFIF) Advisory Board, which facilitates discussion between key government and private sector institutions worldwide, founder Chairman of the Meghnad Desai Academy of Economics in Mumbai (MDAE), and Emeritus Professor at the London School of Economics (LSE), with which he has had a long history, including as Director of its Centre for the Study of Global Governance and founding member of its Development Studies Institute.
