Johnny Jukes, star of hit television series, City Boys, appears to have it all - sex appeal, fame, marriage and a beautiful son. Meanwhile his long-term friend, scriptwriter for the series, Gina Cardosi, is happily divorced, anticipating a move to a cottage in the country and constantly rejecting the unwanted attentions of the local estate agent. When Johnny's world unexpectedly falls apart, it is Gina he turns to for support and they become even closer as a result. Under pressure from their families, they attempt to protect both themselves and the series their livelihoods depend on; a series produced by Johnny's far-from-happy father-in-law and filmed in Gina's family-owned studio. As the situation takes a dramatic turn, happiness for the pair seems impossible, but could the mysterious, elderly woman Gina encounters at her home hold the key to their future or simply encourage revenge?
