The Pool of Siloam was used to unveil one's personal testimony in due season. The testimony speaks of Christ's testing one's allegiance before spiritual sight is given. The interactions with Christ lead to sight of a present-day work of God. The testing gives sight, so we might see Christ working. The testimony was mandated by God, coming just before the hour when none of us can work. The word Siloam has prophetic connotation, meaning "sent." When the Spirit of Christ interacts through one's testimony, He is displaying a visual sign. As also seen in John 9, a visual sign must be displayed before God's eschatological judgment begins.
