Darwyn Cooke was an Eisner Award-winning cartoonist and animator. After spending several years as a magazine art director and graphic designer, Cooke switched careers and began working in animation, where he contributed to such shows as Batman: The Animated Series, Superman: The Animated Series and Men In Black: The Series. From there, DC Comics approached Cooke to write and illustrate a project that the artist had submitted to the company years earlier - Batman: Ego. The critical success of the title led to more freelance work, including the relaunch of the Catwoman series with writer Ed Brubaker (which inspired Cooke to write and draw the graphic novel Catwoman: Selina's Big Score). Cooke then spent several years writing and drawing the ambitious epic The New Frontier, a six-issue miniseries bridging the gap between the end of the Golden Age of comics and the beginnings of the Silver Age.

Jeph Loeb is an Emmy award nominated and Eisner award winning writer/producer living in Los Angeles. In television, his many credits include Smallville, Lost and Heroes and in film, Teen Wolf and Commando. In comics, he is best known for his work with the supremely talented artist and partner-in-crime Tim Sale on Batman: The Long Halloween, Superman For All Seasons,Catwoman: When In Rome for DC as well as Daredevil Yellow, Spider-Man Blue and Hulk Gray for Marvel.

Brian Azzarello has been writing comics professionally since the mid-1990s. He is the author of Johnny Double, Batman- Broken City and the Harvey and Eisner Award-winning 100 Bullets, all created in collaboration with artist Eduardo Risso. The New York Times bestselling author's other work for DC includes the titles Hellblazer and Loveless (both with Marcelo Frusin), Batman- Dark Knight III- The Master Race (with Frank Miller, Andy Kubert and Klaus Janson), Superman- For Tomorrow (with Jim Lee), Joker and Luthor (both with Lee Bermejo) and Wonder Woman (with Cliff Chiang). Most recently he reunited with Lee Bermejo to kick off DC's Black Label imprint with the bestseller Batman- Damned.
