I found this book simply written and quite patronising. Just another self help book. ‘This is what happened to me, that’s what fixed it, and if you only try this yourself you’ll be okay’.
Maybe not quite so black and white, Courtney does add (a lot) that it can all be adapted to your life/wishes etc.
Actually, that makes me suspicious, the way a friend says It really like you/your view/cooking/insert-whatever and then in the same breath follows with a ‘but’....
The only thing I took home from it is that even if something is a gift from a significant person, you can still gracefully pass the gift on. Guilt free parting with sentimentality. Thank you for that Courtney.
