STUPENDOUS Of course it's stupendous. It's ol' Spidey himself in his first--yes, first--full-length novel. SINISTER When a baddie drops out of a sky-high window (Did he jump--heh heh--or was he pushed?), Daily Bugle publisher J. Jonah Jameson wants Spider-Man to take the rap. Has the wall-crawler come to the end of his rope? Does his life hang by a slender thread? GLOBAL To swing clear of this one, he's got to snoop on an international oil conference. There's blackmail Radioactivity And a welcoming committee of death-dealing arch-villains DIABOLICAL Who's behind it all? Think hard, 'cause we're not telling. But it just might be that too much tendril looms large in Spider's formidable future

Len Wein

Len Wein co-created Swamp Thing early in a writing career that has included work on every major hero and villain at both DC Comics and Marvel Comics.

As a writer, Wein is also credited with co-creating Wolverine for Marvel and Lucius Fox for DC. Wein was one of the editors on Watchmen, and has also been Editor-in-Chief at both Marvel Comics and Disney Comics before settling in to a successful career writing comic books and animation. He died in 2017 at the age of 69.

Marv Wolfman

One of the most prolific and influential writers in modern comics, Marv Wolfman began his career as an artist. Realizing that his talents lay more in writing the stories than in drawing them, Wolfman soon became known for his carefully crafted, character-driven tales.

In a career that has spanned nearly 30 years, Wolfman has helped shape the heroic careers of DC Comics' Green Lantern, Blackhawk and the original Teen Titans, as well as Marvel Comics' Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, and Nova.

In addition to co-creating The New Teen Titans and the universe-shattering Crisis On Infinite Earths with George Purez, Wolfman was instrumental in the revamp of Superman after Crisis, the development of The New Teen Titans spinoff series Vigilante, Deathstroke The Terminator and Team Titans, and created such characters as Blade for Marvel, along with Night Force and the retooled Dial "H" For Hero for DC.

In addition to his numerous comic-book credits, Wolfman has also written several novels and worked in series television and animation, including the Superman cartoon of the late 1980s and currently the hit Teen Titans show on Cartoon Network.
