Mike Goldsmith

Dr Mike Goldsmith studied the philosophy of time and space at Keele University, UK, where he also obtained his PhD in astrophysics. He was formerly the head of Acoustics at the UK's National Physical Laboratory and is now an author of non-fiction books for children, including the Kingfisher Space Encyclopaedia.

Miranda Smith

Miranda Smith is an experienced editor who has written many books for both children and adults on subjects ranging from sharks and the human body to ancient Egypt and courgettes. Having raised three children in east London, she still lives in the family home with her husband and two cats.
