Janet Lawler is a prolific author specializing in children's literature. Her books have been published across the globe and have been translated into several languages.

Lawler received a BA in government and American studies from Connecticut College and went on to complete her JD at the University of Connecticut. She is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.
