The Long Dusty Road Home is the story of Jana Benton. She was born in poverty and raised by an abusive alcoholic Father and a very loving but beaten down Mother. She grew up in a ran down shack in rural Oklahoma with five other siblings. A the age of 18 years old each one of the children were forced to leave by their Farther Jack Benton to the streets of Oklahoma City to some how make it on their own. Jana finds work and a modest place to live and too soon falls in with the wrong man and finds it necessary to run for her life. She befriends an older wealthy man by the name of Thomas Green. After years of true friendship she falls in love with him but for one reason or another she cannot have him. This leads Jana into the arms of a cruel, cold, using man by the name of Jason Black who changes her life path and forces her into hiding from the only man she has really ever loved.. This is Jana Benton's story of survival, love, and an act of violence that would change her life forever.
