I am probably preaching to the converted, but if you love Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instruments series you will gain extra insights and some fascinating background to the mythological and Biblical defences - as well as interesting parallels to classic narratives and plots in other famous works reflected and reworked within the world of the Mortal Instruments epic battles of good -v- evil. Even someone just discovering the series will still find the background and cross-referencing of themes and characters enormously useful and I find myself going back to check incidents and details in the books I had forgotten. A great read for fans!
