I am a chef wannabe. I hoard cookbooks like theres no tomorrow and I trust recipe books by Donna Hay.

Her cookbooks are just brimming with mouth-watering selections and The New Classics is no exception. The photos in this cookbook are enough to make you drool. Trying them out in the kitchen is a whole new experience.

You and your family will love how delicious each meal is. Each herb and spice blends perfectly well with each other, creating a flavourful aroma and taste to satisfy your appetite.

I also love that the book is categorised according to each recipes ingredients. Therefore, it is easier to find desserts, salads, pork, seafood, or beef meals.

This book is meant to be a collection of all of Donna Hays classic recipes and I believe that the book gives justice to its name. It also helps that aside from the classic recipes, I also learned a few tips and tricks in the kitchenhelping me have more fun and an easier time in the kitchen.

I love Donna Hay. I have lots of her cook books but this is the absolute best by far. Received it today and can't take my eyes off of it. It is an absolutely beautiful book with wonderful easy recipes in it. Can't wait to start cooking!!!!!!

I have been a fan of Donna Hay for so long so when I found out that she was coming out with a new cookbook I knew I had to get it. Of course, Donna did not disappoint! New Classics is an amazing cookbook that is perfect for those people who love cooking or a foodie just like me.

What I love about this book is that the recipes are easy to follow. The other day I tried to make Donna's summer Bolognese and dark chocolate and raspberry brownie tarts for a small family dinner I hosted. I am so glad that it turned out well and my family enjoyed them a lot. At first I was nervous because the dish seemed to be hard to replicate but I was wrong! I did not have a hard time cooking the dish or the dessert. Donna's steps are easy to follow and to understand. I really enjoyed the whole experience!

Aside from the delicious recipes, you will also enjoy looking at the photos in this cookbook. The layout of the book is neat and pretty and the text is easy to read. Those two factors are very important to me in purchasing a cookbook.

I definitely recommend this book for people who are passionate about cooking, people who want to learn how to cook and for people who appreciate good food.

If you like the Donna Hay magazine you will love this beautiful book. It is filled with delicious looking dishes that look as incredible as only food styled by Donna Hay can.

I can't wait to make many of the recipes featured and would also love to find some of the vintage looking serving dishes and utensils.

Be warned however, if you are trying to eat healthy don't look at the baking and dessert sections as the temptation might be just too much.

Buy this lovely book to cook from or just for looking at. It will make a great addition to your cookbook collection or you can display it proudly on your coffee table. If you can bear to part with it, give it to a lucky recipient as a gift. Better still, buy two copies.

When I first picked up Donna Hay's new recipe book I thoughtI love recipe books but I have got so many of them lying around. I will just have a look

As I turned the pages, I thought 'I can do this for Xmas' and 'so and so will love this' and 'this looks amazing!'

I had to buy it. Now I wonder 'who else can I buy this book for?'

The New Classics is a beautiful book with amazing pictures and recipes that make my mouth water and have inspired me to cook more often!

Donna Hay, the original queen of plating up, always releases a book just in time to get under the Christmas tree. This year however there is an additional treat with a beautiful hardback collection of all her best recipes pulled from her magazines. The New Classics has everything you love from Donna Hay, mouth-watering photos in her traditional clean and simple style, easy to follow recipes and ideas for both simple after-work dinners and dishes to make your dinner guests jealous. The lamb shank pies and caramlised onion hommus dip are already on my must cook list. Be prepared to end up with a whole list of new classic recipes in your household.

This cookbook is the collection of classic and new recipes from Donna Hay. Filled with Donna Hays signature rustic styled photography your mouth will be watering at the turn of each page. Full of practical advice about making your own basics from pasta, soup stocks, pizza dough, shortcrust pastry, brioche and ricotta cheese, this is pretty much a kitchen bible for any food enthusiast.
There is a whole section allocated just to pies and tarts as well as sumptuous baking recipes that will keep you happy. A robust book with two handy bookmarks for the most loved pages this cook book provides year round recipes with seasonal produce. I cant wait to make the custard donuts!
