I read an earlier book by this author, The Black Widow, and thought it was OK. This one I didn't like at all. It's basically a story of why the Roman Catholic church and Jewish folk don't like each other. I have no connection with either party but the most generous description of this novel I can come up with is pompous, elitist drivel. Sorry to be so negative.
