How much do we know about Ayurveda - the world's most ancient cure and wellness science? My score would be a meager 3/10. Unfortunately, urban people like us grew up with a limiting conception of Ayurveda. This nine-chapter book is an absolute eye-opener in regards to this subject. The author, Dr. Narasimham Jammi, has earned a Ph.D. from the University of Utah in Biological Chemistry and then went on to do postdoctoral research at Stanford, explains the nitty-gritty of this ancient and potent treatment method. This 150-page book is a treasure trove and a must-have for every knowledge seeker. It provides vast knowledge about lost practices from our traditional lifestyle. The language is fluid, engaging, and not expository in the slightest. This book beautifully demonstrates the saying by David Frawley, "As long as we are not living in harmony with nature and our constitution, we cannot expect ourselves to be really healed. Ayurveda gives us the means.
