While a little difficult to get into , it then becomes hard to put down.
Worth the read irrespective of any preconceived ideas you have of the the author , or what political spectrum you support
For anyone without an idea how the White House & related government departments work, it’s an eye opener
This book is not for the fainthearted. It is a heavy read full of detail regarding international relations and diplomacy (or lack thereof). In amongst this, of course, are details of his dealings with Donald Trump. All of the criticism is implicit rather than explicit. Each chapter covers a different part of the world that Bolton was involved in during his time working with Trump. Having worked for the UN, I do not agree with a lot of John Bolton's opinions and ideals. However, I do not think that he is stupid nor a liar. In this regard I found it a heavy, but interesting read.
