It's the weekend and there's stuff to do. Impress someone special. Silence the hungry hordes. Nurse a hangover. Get the gang over. Revisit your childhood. Cook something snappy. Slow right down. Rediscover custard. THE WEEKEND COOK is a much-anticipated collection of recipes and whimsy from Matthew Evans' popular column in the Good Weekend magazine. Friendly and accessible, it contains the most humble of Italian soups to knock up in a flash; a lamb leg so slow-cooked you'll have time to finish the cryptic; a gorgeous steamed pudding straight out of gentler times; and lots of ideas for breakfast - to enjoy at any old time of the afternoon. A must-have kitchen accessory, THE WEEKEND COOK is the spirit of the weekend captured in one handy volume.
