Michael Rosen

Michael Rosen is one of the most popular authors for children. His bestselling titles published by Walker Books include We're Going on a Bear Hunt, A Great Big Cuddle, Little Rabbit Foo Foo, Michael Rosen’s Sad Book, Tiny Little Fly and What Is Poetry?.

Michael received the Eleanor Farjeon Award for distinguished services to children’s literature in 1997, and was the Children’s Laureate from 2007 to 2009. He is a distinguished critic and academic, Professor of Children's Literature at Goldsmiths, University of London.

He also presents radio programmes for the BBC, and is a political commentator. Michael lives in London.

Helen Oxenbury

Helen Oxenbury is among the most popular and critically acclaimed illustrators of her time. Her numerous books for children include Smarties Book Prize-winning Farmer Duck by Martin Waddell; We're Going on a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen; as well as her classic board books for babies.

She won the Kate Greenaway Medal for Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Her most recent picture book was the critically acclaimed There's Going to Be a Baby, the first book-publishing collaboration between her and her husband John Burningham. Helen lives in London.

Saw it as an animated TV program in England and thought it was a lovely story. I have bought it for my 4 year old granddaughter for Christmas, so I hope she likes it too.

A huge favourite with my two boys who love to scare each other. Repetitive but lots of scope to do fun voices and vary the pace.
