v.

1. To impose two meanings: the thing upon the sound and the sound upon the thing.

2. To imagine past the point that a meaning wears away, and you begin to apprehend the same meaning massing underneath yourself (or despite the same).

3. Would all this hearsay disappear, without this record, or would we just forget how unsound the footing?

4. Or are they prompt? News rehearsed into believing?

1. Inherently dangerous, or endangered. Precarious, but in the manner of a very tall mountain on a very flat plain of very summery debris. No life for miles. No change but the growing dread of changelessness.

As in, "Sometimes I pretend there's a heaven, but the word of it haunts comfort into a simple, blank death."

n.

1. A book turning in on the token, bleating not lucidity but unsilence.

As in, "The word of God."

2. A trunk before it is a stalk. A pebble before it was an eruption.

3. And still there's cleaning your teeth every morning in between cleaning your teeth at night.
