About Zinyama Village RoadWhen humans come to Zinyama Village with a big "monster," to build a new road and bridge, Kalulu Rabbit and the other animals worry that the monsters will eat them; but the Zinyama Village leader, Njobvu Elephant teaches them that the new road and bridge will help them get around the village without having to cross the river or go around their big mountain. He also gives the new road a name, Zinyama Village Road. He turns the animals' fears and cries to joyful dancing. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Janet Zeenat Karim is Malawi's renowned media professional with an illustrious 30-year plus publishing career in print, broadcast and social media environments. She is a highly motivated, creative, enthusiastic and proactive communications specialist, former diplomat and accomplished journalist and editor. Janet is founder and editor of The Independent newspaper and Woman Now magazine. She is also a keen Sunday school instructor and a devout Christian with a passion for telling children's biblical stories; as a radio broadcaster, she created her signature Slap Me Five! God is Alive! Series - a children's radio program she also presented on three radio stations. She published The Christmas Collection (2000) in that series under the penname Janet Dithi. Janet has also authored "Every woman a child of God" and Brilliant: One Year with Joyce Banda! Janet is a historian, political analyst and champion of democratic governance, gender equality and women's and children's rights, which she has promoted in multimedia outlets such as radio, television stations and websites.
