Christmas in Whitehorn is a book by American author, Susan Mallery the 40th book of the Montana Mavericks series. When Darcy Montague, baker and diner waitress, invites her new neighbour, Mark Kincaid to a Thanksgiving dinner party, she doesn’t think he’ll come. Mark has returned to Whitehorn after some very stressful years as a New York cop, and he is not at all sure he wants anything to do with sweet, well-meaning Darcy and her healthy food options. Yet he accepts the invitation, and when unforeseen events reduce the party to dinner for two, their proximity leads to unexpected intimacy. But both Mark and Darcy have elements of their lives that they are reluctant to share. The stars of this romance are an appealing pair; the book also features characters and some intriguing happenings that lead into the subsequent books of the series. A sweet romance.
