Lili Wilkinson

Lili Wilkinson is the award-winning author of eleven YA novels including The Boundless Sublime, Green Valentine, Pink and Scatterheart.

After studying Creative Arts at the University of Melbourne, Lili established the insideadog.com.au website, the Inky Awards and the Inkys Creative Reading Prize at the Centre for Youth Literature, State Library of Victoria.

She has a PhD in Creative Writing, and lives in Melbourne with her husband, son, dog and three chickens.

Ellie Marney

Ellie Marney is a New York Times bestselling author of crime thrillers, including Some Shall Break, The Killing Code, None Shall Sleep, White Night, No Limits, the Every series, and the Circus Hearts series. Her books are published in eleven countries and have been optioned for television.

She's spent a lifetime researching in mortuaries, interviewing law enforcement officers, talking to autopsy specialists, and asking former spies how to make explosives from household items, and now she lives quite sedately in south eastern Australia with her family.

Gabrielle Tozer

Gabrielle Tozer is a freelance editor, journalist and copywriter who has edited, sub-edited and written for several magazines, newspapers and anthologies throughout the past decade.

In addition to Gabrielle’s work on Dolly, Girlfriend, Cosmopolitan, DisneyGiRL, Bride To Be, Mamamia and Familyfun, she has also written for creative journals such as Gofish and Take It As Red.

Gabrielle also writes YA fiction and her debut novel, The Intern, won the 2015 Gold Inky Award. The sequel, Faking It, was published in the same year.

Will Kostakis

Will Kostakis was only 19 when his first novel for young adults, Loathing Lola, was released. It went on to be shortlisted for the Sakura Medal in Japan and made the official selection for the Australian Government's 2010 Get Reading! programme. In 2005, Will won the Sydney Morning Herald Young Writer of the Year for a collection of short stories.

Will spends his time working as a freelance journalist, writing and touring Australian secondary schools. His second YA novel, The First Third, was released in August 2013, and was shortlisted for the 2014 CBCA awards in the Older Readers category.

Amie Kaufman

Amie Kaufman is the New York Times and internationally bestselling co-author of The Illuminae Files (Illuminae, Gemina) and the Starbound Trilogy (These Broken Stars, This Shattered World, Their Fractured Light.)

Her award-winning books are published in almost 30 countries, and she is based in Melbourne, Australia, where she lives with her husband, their rescue dog, and an extremely large personal library.

Jaclyn Moriarty

Jaclyn Moriarty is the author of bestselling novels for young adults and adults, including the 'Ashbury-Brookfield' books. Her books have been named Best Books for Young Adults by the American Librarian Association and translated into several languages.

The first and second books in The Colours of Madeleine trilogy, A Corner of White and The Cracks in the Kingdom, won the NSW Premier's Literary Award and the Queensland Literary Award, and both were nominated for a number of other prizes.

The Cracks in the Kingdom won the Aurealis Award for Best Young Adult Novel. Jaclyn grew up in Sydney, lived in the US, England and Canada, and now lives in Sydney again.

Danielle Binks

Danielle Binks is a writer, reviewer, agent and book blogger who lives on the Mornington Peninsula. In 2017, she edited and contributed to Begin, End, Begin, an anthology of new Australian young adult writing inspired by the #LoveOzYA movement, which won the ABIA Book of the Year for Older Children (Ages 13+) and was shortlisted in the 2018 Gold Inky Awards.

The Year the Maps Changed is Danielle's debut middle-grade novel.

Michael Pryor

Michael Pryor is one of Australia's premier Science Fiction and Fantasy authors.

He has more than a million words in print, publishing more than thirty-five books and over fifty short stories.

Michael has been shortlisted seven times for the Aurealis Awards and seven of his books have been CBCA Notable Books.

Melissa Keil

Melissa Keil is the author of three novels for young adults: Life in Outer Space (2013), The Incredible Adventures of Cinnamon Girl (2014) and The Secret Science of Magic (2017).

She won the Ampersand Prize and the Ena Noël Award from IBBY Australia for her debut novel, and has since been recognised in numerous awards including the Prime Minister’s Literary Awards and the Western Australian Premier’s Literary Awards in 2014; the CBCA’s Book of the Year for Older Readers in 2014 and 2015; and the teens’ choice Gold Inky Awards in 2015. Melissa’s books have been published all over the world.

Born and raised in Melbourne, Melissa studied Cinema and Anthropology at university and completed a short stint as a teacher on the wrong side of the tracks in London. She now works as a children’s book editor, and spends her free time being a giant nerd.
