Martin Rees

Martin Rees is Astronomer Royal, former President of the Royal Society, Fellow (and former Master) of Trinity College, Cambridge, and Emeritus Professor of Cosmology and Astrophysics at the University of Cambridge. He sits as a member of the UK House of Lords.

Noah Charney

Noah Charney is a professor and an international author of fiction and non‐fiction, specializing in the fields of art history and art crime.

He is the founder and president of ARCA, the Association for Research into Crimes against Art, a non‐profit research group on issues in art crime.

His work in the field of art crime has been praised in such international forums as the New York Times Magazine, Time Magazine, BBC Radio, National Public Radio, El Pais, Vogue, Vanity Fair, Playboy, Elle and Tatler among many others.

He has appeared on radio and television as an expert on art history and art crime, including BBC, ITV, CNBC and MSNBC. Charney is the author of numerous articles and a novel, The Art Thief (2007).

David Wengrow

David Wengrow is a professor of comparative archaeology at the Institute of Archaeology, University College London, and has been a visiting professor at New York University.

He is the author of three books, including What Makes Civilization?. Wengrow conducts archaeological fieldwork in various parts of Africa and the Middle East.

Tali Sharot

Tali Sharot has a Ph.D. in psychology and neuroscience from New York University. She is currently the director of the Affective Brain Lab at University College London.

Her research on optimism, memory and emotion has been featured in leading scholarly journals and media outlets, including Newsweek, the BBC, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, The Wall Street Journal, Time, New Scientist, Nature, Science, and many others.

Jon Butterworth

Jon Butterworth is currently Head of the Department of Physics and Astronomy at UCL and works on the ATLAS Experiment at CERN's Large Hadron Collider.

He studied at the University of Oxford, receiving a DPhil in particle physics in 1992. He is the author of Smashing Physics, and of the 'Life and Physics' blog for the Guardian.
