Trudi Canavan

Trudi Canavan lives in Melbourne, Australia.

She has been making up stories about things that don't exist for as long as she can remember, and was amazed when her first published story received an Aurealis Award for Best Fantasy Short Story in 1999.

She has since published the bestselling Black Magician Trilogy: The Magicians' Guild, The Novice and The High Lord, and is now a bestselling author in the UK and the US.

Daniel Abraham

Daniel Abraham is the author of the critically acclaimed Long Price quartet. He has been nominated for the Hugo, Nebula and World Fantasy awards, and won the International Horror Guild Award.

He also writes (with Ty Frank) as James S. A. Corey, author of the New York Times bestselling Expanse sequence - now a major TV series. He lives in New Mexico.

Saladin Ahmed

Saladin Ahmed was born in Detroit and raised in a working-class, Arab American enclave in Dearborn, Michigan.

His short stories have been nominated for the Nebula and Campbell awards, and have appeared in Year’s Best Fantasy and numerous magazines, anthologies, and podcasts, as well as being translated into five foreign languages.

Throne of the Crescent Moon is his first novel. He lives near Detroit with his wife and twin children.

Elizabeth Bear

Elizabeth Bear was the recipient of the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer in 2005. She has won two Hugo Awards for her short fiction, A Sturgeon Award, and the Locus Award for Best First Novel. Bear lives in Brookfield, Massachusetts.

Scott Lynch

Scott Lynch was born in 1978 in St. Paul, Minnesota, and current lives in Wisconsin.

In addition to being a freelance writer for various role playing game companies he has done all the usual jobs writers put in their bios: dishwasher, waiter, web designer, marketing writer, office manager and short-order cook.

His first novel, The Lies of Locke Lamora, was an international success and he now writes full-time.

Jonathan Strahan

Jonathan Strahan has co-edited The Year's Best Australian Science Fiction and Fantasy series of anthologies for HarperCollins Australia, co-edits the Science Fiction: The Best of...and Fantasy: The Best of...anthology series with Karen Haber for Simon & Schuster/ibooks, edits the Best Short Novels anthology series for the Doubleday Science Fiction Book Club, and co-edited The Locus Awards for Eos with Charles N. Brown. He is also the Reviews Editor for Locus: The Magazine of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Fields, and reviews for the magazine regularly. He is currently working on The New Space Opera II.
