Seth Dickinson

Seth Dickinson's short fiction has appeared in various publications including Analog, Asimov's, Clarkesworld, Lightspeed, Strange Horizons and Beneath Ceaseless Skies. He is an instructor at the Alpha Workshop for Young Writers, winner of the 2011 Dell Magazines Award, and a lapsed student of social neuroscience. He lives in Brooklyn, New York. The Monster is his second novel, following The Traitor, which was shortlisted for the 2016 David Gemmell Morningstar Award for Best Debut.

Hank Green

William Henry "Hank" Green II is an American entrepreneur, musician, educator, producer, vlogger, and author. He is known for his YouTube channel Vlogbrothers, where he and his brother, John Green, regularly upload videos, as well as for creating and hosting the educational YouTube channels Crash Course and SciShow.

Green co-created VidCon, the world's largest conference about online videos, with his brother John, and created NerdCon: Stories, a conference focused on storytelling. He is the co-creator of The Lizzie Bennet Diaries (2012–2013), a web series adaptation of Pride and Prejudice in the style of video blogs.

He is also the founder of the environmental technology blog EcoGeek and the Internet Creators Guild, and co-founder of merchandise company DFTBA Records, crowdfunding platform Subbable—acquired by Patreon in 2015—game company DFTBA Games, and online video production company Pemberley Digital, which produces video blog adaptations of classic novels in the public domain.

Green's debut novel, An Absolutely Remarkable Thing, will be published in fall 2018.

R. F. Kuang

Rebecca F. Kuang immigrated to the United States from Guangzhou, China, in 2000.

She has a BA in International History from Georgetown University, and she will pursue her graduate degree in Modern Chinese Studies at the University of Cambridge on a Marshall Scholarship in 2018.

Her research focuses on Chinese military strategy, collective trauma, and war memorials.

Martha Wells

Martha Wells has written many fantasy novels, including The Wizard Hunters, Wheel of the Infinite, the Books of the Raksura series (beginning with The Cloud Roads and ending with The Harbors of the Sun), and the Nebula-nominated The Death of the Necromancer, as well as YA fantasy novels, short stories, and nonfiction.

Kiersten White

Kiersten White is the New York Times bestselling author of The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein, the Slayer series, the And I Darken trilogy, and many more novels. She lives with her family near the ocean in San Diego, which, in spite of its perfection, spurs her to dream of faraway places and even further-away times.
