Henry Fielding was an English writer and dramatist best known for his satirical wit. Fielding is also notable for helping to create London's first police force. Fielding was a prolific author and some of his best known books, including Tom Jones, Joseph Andrews, and Shamela, are still widely read today.
Joseph Andrews was Fielding's first novel. The humorous book tells the story of the adventures of a good-natured footman.
