Young Luis Alfonsin faces a promising career in the government of the small Central American republic of Chuchacamba and has found love in the figure of the president's daughter, Sofia. But his whole world is turned upside down by the government being overthrown and Sofia being kidnapped. Out on his own, Luis has to fight for survival every step of the way to regain his missing love and to bring order to a nation in chaos.
