In the year 2153, Earth is a dystopian community in which people are no longer separated by race or sex but by social class. Trojan Steele is the daughter of the owners of the Olympus buildings, she like the rest of human civilisation, wakes up to find the world has changed from how she left it the previous night and is shut off in her apartment for a year, away from everyone she knows.

At the end of the shutdown, Trojan tries to make her way in the new broken down world, a world where the surviving either feed on human flesh or want to rule or subdue others. Trojan finds herself the unlikely leader of group a of rebels fighting against the causers of the downfall of Earth, a group of unknown people called the Sect.
