David Graham Phillips (1867 – 1911) was an American novelist and journalist of the muckraker tradition. Phillips' novels often commented on social issues of the day and frequently chronicled events based on his real-life journalistic experiences.
“Susan Lenox: Her Fall and Rise” is a great example of intrigue novel written by David Graham Philips with very powerful, and quite insightful plot. Susan is an ordinary human being and it is noticeable feature of her. However, there are plenty of times that it feels slow to progress. The author breaks off and philosophizes at the worst times, just when Susan's life is at the verge of major change. All in all it is definitely recommended story to anyone.
